SPEAK UP! Women Entrepreneurs Getting The Funding They Need

In 2019, street vendors Brittany and Marcel Maldonado came to Entrepreneur Works in search of capital to grow their baking business from a mobile food truck to a store-front location.

An investment by Bank of America through a partnership with the Tory Burch Foundation that aims to increase the number and size of businesses owned and led by women made it possible for Entrepreneur Works to approve a $10,000 loan for the mother-daughter team to open up their South Philly location.

After a year of renovations and unprecedented challenges brought on by COVID-19, Milk+Sugar successfully opened the doors of their bake shop in August 2021.

See how Milk + Sugar used their small business loan to go from food truck to brick and mortar!

As a woman business owner, seeking business loans can be a daunting task, but it’s important to remember that you have the right to access financial resources to grow and scale your business.

You are not alone in your journey. At Entrepreneur Works we specialize in providing support and resources to help you navigate the loan application process. With determination, persistence, and a solid plan, you can secure the funding you need to take your business to the next level.
